An example: Today is Thursday and I am getting a new email from a friend. But my friend has on Monday posted this message in his system but this mail only sent today. The problem: This email can not be found in the today's list. I can found it on the last Monday. I want that my emails are sorted by the date of receipt and not at the date of creation. I use an IMAP Account and via Webmail is it sorted correctly! The wrong sorting is only in kmail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Change your Systemdate on a day before today. 2.Write and send a new Mail to a friend that use kmail. 3.By your friend in the Inbox this email will be foundable at your wrong systemdate and not at the senddate or recievedate.
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
