if you change the absolute position of a screen in a multiscreen configuration you'll lose the settings after reboot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. plug 2 monitor to pc in "extend" mode and move one of them from default position with absolute coordinates and save
2. reboot
3. you have default positions again
Actual Results:  
you have default positions again

Expected Results:  
heve my previously saved screen positions

Which KDE version, and is this with KScreen or the old KRandR kcm?

KDE is 4.8.5.

and the tool is KRandR.

Thanks for reporting your bug.

Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards.

I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen.
