And which exact Amarok version is this about?

Hi Myriam,
As requested
Amarok Version 2.8.0 with KDE 4.11.1

As far as I know you can't edit the image tag within Amarok, you can associate a cover image to an album only through the Right click context menu -> Album -> Set custom cover. The cover needs to be in the same folder as the album you are associating it to.

This action works fine for me.

If you want the covers to be written to the id3 tag, then you need to activate the option Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Metadata -> Write cover to file. All covers changed after this option is enabled will be written to the file.

Please check the above actions work for you and report back.

Myriam,
It seems to be clearest....
This function works if I modifiy the ID Tag and I add an album name to the song.
Without Album name, the cover modification does'nt work. I thing Ammarok checks it has got the album name before and associate the name with the existing cover. (right?)
That's occure some side or refresh effect. Because, I changed the album name of the song and the cover image still with the old picture.
So, efficiently, if I need to change the cover of the song I need to use an other software like "ID Tag editor".
I think It should be better that Amarok include this function I waited long time.
Thanks

It makes perfect sense to have an album name, that is how Amarok works. It makes little to no sense to want album art but no album name, think again.

Also: you did not read correctly: you can already write covers to tags, provided you have the option activated in the settings. Every cover change will then be written.

Everything else is not a bug, but a feature request. Please file one, but I can already tell you that it is unlikely to be granted, as Amarok is a music player, not a tag editing software. There are enough good tag editors out there.

Myriam,

I know Amarok is music player but you know as It could synchronize some device, it s better when you got the good personalized cover as the soundcloud Site

Anyway, thanks for your support
