Description Tristan Miller 2013-09-19 14:21:19 UTC
When I start KTimeTracker its window title bar contains the following text:

/home/miller/.kde4/share/apps/ktimetracker/ktimetracker.ics – KTimeTracker

The first few characters of the title are, of course, what gets displayed in my task switcher and taskbar.

I don't see the point of having the filename with the full path there. It was KTimeTracker, not me, which decided to store its data in this out-of-the-way location; and I couldn't care less where it is. I appreciate that KTimeTracker allows users to open a different file, though most people won't use this feature, and those that do would much rather see some meaningful label associated with it rather than a bare absolute path + filename.

Reproducible: Always

Let's change it. Where would you want the file to be by default?
Comment 2 Tristan Miller 2013-10-05 15:52:35 UTC
As I mentioned in the report, where KTimeTracker stores the file by default doesn't particularly concern me. Keeping it in $KDEHOME is fine with me. I just don't think the filename, much less the full path, needs to be in the title bar.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I will be closing this bug.
