Description mm_maiwald 2013-09-13 20:23:03 UTC
I don't get any of my feeds anymore and replacing my feeds also does not work, because I can't add new feeds. It looks like a nework time-out, but I don't know what causes it.
dbus-monitor --session spits out "file retriever error: 123", for every feed that failed to be updated. Reinstalling, reconfiguring do not do anything.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on: Retrieve all feeds or Ctrl+L.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Red boxes appear besides the feeds, no feed gets updated.

Expected Results:
Feed should get updated.

dbus--monitor --system output is file retriever error: 123 for every feed.

So there is some new important information: I use a VPN service and when the connection is established, akregator works and gets all feeds. If the VPN is not activated, akregator fails every time with "file retriever error: 123". I used this often, because I usually don't log into my e-mail accounts over VPN and it never was a problem, akregator worked fine, no matter if the VPN was activated or not.

On a sidenote: rekonq seems to have adopted this behaviour. If I'm not logged into the VPN, it doesn't load sites anymore. Also, quasselirc fails to do anything (connecting, listing, displaying correctly) no matter if I'm logged into the VPN or not. Maybe these things are connected, I don't know, but they seemed to happen at the same time.

Same problem at ROSA. But Internet is working properly and all sites and feeds is available online.

The last updates have solved the problem, akregator works fine now.
In the meantime I had some serious problems with akonadi (not working, mysqld occupying a whole processor), but the last updates seem to have solved them so far, except for some strong and weird glitches (looks like mysql is the main-culprit). It's the same set of updates that solved the akregator problem.

Eugene, do you still see the issue? Otherwise I will close it, because the reporter says it works for him.
