Description nfxjfg 2013-09-12 08:30:53 UTC
Often, konqueror will use khtml, even though I have selected webkit as default engine. konqueror will use khtml the next time I visit a website, even if I have manually selected webkit under view mode the time before that.

Using khtml is unacceptable on most sites, because even though the webkit backend misrenders, crashes, or Doesn't Work all the time, it's much worse with khtml.

It appears this happens preferably when clicking links from other applications (like xchat etc.), but not if konqueror is started stand-alone. (It's quite mysterious.)

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set webkit as default browsing engine
2. click on a link in xchat (I tried github.com)
3. konqueror will use khtml, instead of webkit
(This is always reproducible, btw. But starting konqeuror from a terminal and then going to github.com will use webkit.)
Actual Results:
konqueror will use khtml, instead of webkit.

Expected Results:
konqueror uses webkit.

Oh, if that wasn't clear: manually switching to webkit always works, of course. (Unless it randomly crashes.)
