Description Miroslav Suchy 2013-09-10 06:42:15 UTC
I have some IRC servers I use in VPN. If I disconnect from VPN, then Konversation disconnect from those IRC servers in VPN (that is expected). But if I later connect again to VPN, konversation is unable to connect to those IRC servers (Could not connect: unknown error). If I close the tab and choose "connect to server" again, it still does not work. If I close konversation and start it again, then it will connect and everything is fine.

Package:
konversation-1.5-0.2.20130607.fc19.x86_64

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. connect to VPN, connect to irc server in VPN
2. disconnect VPN
3. connect to VPN
4. watch konversation trying to reconnect to that irc server from point 1)
Actual Results:
Could not connect: unknown error

Expected Results:
it should connect to IRC server

For the record I use
NetworkManager and
vpnc-0.5.3-17.svn457.fc19.x86_64
for connecting to VPN

Dup of Bug 309429? Although that is closed because the reporter said the problem is solved, but this report says it happens with F19 and I see the exact same behaviour with KDE RPMs in Fedora 20.

I don't see this with Fedora 27 versions;

konversation-1.7.5-2.fc27.x86_64
NetworkManager-vpnc-1.2.6-1.fc27.x86_64
vpnc-0.5.3-30.svn550.fc27.x86_64

As of Fedora 29 this is not happening. Closing.
