I find very comfortable the possibility to copy reminders (for appointments and to-does), which are already set. So you can add similar reminders more quickly and easy.
It there was on one of the previous versions.

Reproducible: Always

How would you implement this in the UI ?

Duplicate reminder on Korganizer 4.4.10
Comment 3 Giuseppe Vinci 2013-09-07 08:45:36 UTC
Hi Sergio,

I am not sure, what you mean with "UI" ... Is it GUI (Graphic Unit Interface)?
Actually I am not a software developer or similar, but I know that, what I suggested was already implemented on KOrganizer 4.4.(10), see attach.

The incidence editor in newer KOrganizer versions has changed.
If this wish is still valid, could you describe what actions you would
like to be able to perform in the user interface to achieve your goal?

Which versions do you mind?
I am using now the 5.14.2, that is the newest one on OpenSuse Leap 15.3
with this KOrganizer version is not possible to copy a reminder, which you have already set, to add another reminder.
Please inform me, if you need more information, how this implementation should / could run (from user point of view!).

5.14.2 is similar enough to the newest versions.

Is this something like what you have in mind?

- Switch to the Reminders tab of the editor.
- Right-click on an existing reminder.
- Choose "Copy" from the pop-up menu.
- Right-click on empty space in the reminder list (if there is any).
- Choose "Paste" from the pop-up menu.
- Click "Modify" to modify the new reminder.

In the version 4.4.10 it was a "Duplicate" button between the "New / Add" and "Remove" ones in the Reminder tab
As I look at the current Reminder tab, I see, there is place enough for adding another button in the same manner - maybe between "New" and "Modify".
Reason for the button allocation:
The user add a complete new reminder (button "New") or duplicate an existent one (button "Duplicate"). After that he/she maybe needs to edit some details in the new added reminder (button "Modify").

I have to thank, you and all them, which spend a lot of time to improve KDE Apps
