Description Christopher Yeleighton 2013-09-05 18:49:16 UTC
kdeinit4 is neither an administrator’s tool nor a system daemon.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. { man 1 kdeinit4; }
2.
3.
Actual Results:
  1. No manual for kdeinit4 in section 1

Expected Results:
  1. KDEINIT4(1)                    KDE User's Manual                   KDEINIT4(1)

Compare: { man 1 dbus-daemon; }

On my system (Gentoo) man:kdeinit4 is in Section 8 (System Administration tools and Daemons) which seems an acceptable alternative. Is your man page missing, or just in a section other than 1?

Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond.

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
Comment 3 Luigi Toscano 2018-11-10 10:51:26 UTC
Please no automatic NEEDINFO for long-time open bugs. I would not automatically move to NEEDINFO when asking for details.

And about this bug, it will be addressed, even if its correctness is debatable.

Any progress?
Comment 5 Yuri Chornoivan 2020-05-13 12:38:06 UTC
kdeinit5 is not a user command.
