Description LTHR 2013-09-05 10:47:46 UTC
I have multiple problems with keyboard input.

1. Setting keyboard repeat delay higher than 300ms has no effect
2. Turning keyboard delay off has no effect
3. Sometimes by no apparent reason when processes are starting and system is busy the last keyboard pressed is repeated several times. The problem has a higher occurrence rate when a user is connected to the session via XRDP

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn keyboard repeat off and press Apply
2.
3.

I've never seen this repeat problem with KDE 4.9.5, most certainly the mouse and keyboard drivers were re-worked. There are issues with Mouse settings too and the problem with pointer not hiding when screen saver is active.

I can provide an update. It was working fine for a long time but it seems to have been recently broken with frameworks 5.67.

I'm going to test the new environment after dealing with the bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430565
I remember I managed to alleviate the problem by some combination of the settings and it never happened to me with 4.14.3.

LTHR,

Could you please re-test this on Plasma 5.27 (LTS) or 6.1.3 (latest) and see if this is still an issue on your system? I was not able to reproduce the reported problems on 6.1.3.

Thanks!
