Description Annemette 2013-09-02 21:39:50 UTC
Impossible to add new recipe. Used the application a year ago, at that time it behaved exactly as described in the handbook; now it is like 1/3 of features have vanished!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start the application
2. try to enter a new recipe
3. menu option missing. Customizing settings also impossible; settings menu missing
Actual Results:
application is useless, for the time being

Expected Results:
worked

I keep believing it must be my own fault. But all other kde-applications here function normally, so?
I have not installed kubuntu-full, but only kubuntu-desktop. Would that be an explanation? or some missing dependency?

Could you attach a screenshot ? Also, try moving ~/.kde4/share/apps/krecipes to a different place to see whether that makes difference.

The main screen; "view" and "settings" menus not there

"Add recipe" = "+" - icon missing; likewise, "save" and "print"-icons missing

Unfortunately I am not skilled enough to move the krecipes folder to a new place from command-line. And there is no "settings" menu to do it from in the graphical way.

OK. Follow those steps:

1. quit krecipes
2. open konsole (or any terminal emulator)
3. type and run "mv ~/.kde/share/apps/krecipes/ ~/.kde/share/apps/krecipes-bad"
4. start krecipes to see any difference

Yes, Thank you. Krecipes working normally again.
What a simple and efficient solution. No bug then!

I suppose it should be marked as "invalid" as it is not really a bug. But I do not think I have the powers to do so - may the ones responsible do it then
