[Probably a more underlying solid problem as it happens in both Dolphin and kdelibs places panel] I have a few NFS shares in my /etc/fstab, they show up in the "Devices" section in Dolphin. I cannot rename those to give them a more descriptive name (they all start with /mnt/shares, so I need to make the places panel really wide to see their actual names) (Probably true for most /etc/fstab'ish devices.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add some NFS share to your /etc/fstab 2. Try to rename its auto-popping-up places entry 3. Actual Results: Isn't possible Expected Results: Is possible
Thanks for the suggestion. (In reply to comment #0) > [Probably a more underlying solid problem as it happens in both Dolphin and > kdelibs places panel] If you are (like me, who has zero knowledge about NFS shares) unsure if this is a Dolphin issue, then it would be awesome if you could debug the problem and then reopen this report and possibly reassign it. Thanks!
If I understand the request correctly, this is actually the same wish as in bug 224056. Is that correct? In that case we should mark this one as a duplicate.
As nobody has responded, I am going to close this bug as a duplicate of bug 224056. If you think that this is not correct, please reopen this report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 224056 ***
Changed to a more precise duplicate. This report is older, but the newer one is the currently open one. Let me know if you prefer to have it the other way round. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 408321 ***
