Folder selection dialog shows folder as a tree. To expand a folder, one needs to click on the tiny arrow to the left of the folder icon. Double-clicking the icon or the folder name doesn't expand that folder but triggers the folder renaming mode. On the other hand, file selection dialog works as expected, i.e. double-clicking folder names expands them. PS: I don't know whether it is relevant but I have changed Dolphin's navigation setting to open files and folders on double-clicking. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open folder selection dialog. (rekonq's default downlaod location folder, Clementine's music library dialog or Qt Creator's new project folder wizard page are some ways to open ) 2. Double-click on the folder icon or folder name to expand that folder. Actual Results: Renaming mode triggered. Expected Results: Folder should be expanded to show contents. Created attachment 82109 [details] Select folder dialog in renaming mode
Hello. I know that double click to folder item in a dialog box to select a folder doesn't cause a bug but double click to folder item could expand folder item. When a user want select folder he doesn't need rename selected folder. The behaviour of the dialog box to select a folder should be changed. This message could be included into the wish list.
