When trying to download from such sites, download name will default to "downloader" or "download.html" or "download.php" or something of that ilk. The file may or may not be the target file, most often a small file corresponding to these names. Some larger? downloads may stall and not restart. Site administrator tracked this to incopatability with apache/nginx X-file extension which delivers data directly to the socket. The CLI utility wget is apparently OK with this, kget is not. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to affected site 2. Choose download 3. Procede. Actual Results: Described above. Expected Results: Download of correctly named file in background.
Can you provide an example link?

Unfortunately, the recent one was subscription only, number of downloads done. There are numerous others, however. As soon as I encounter again, I will give you the link.

Here is one. Gives a bogus filename which I can correct in kget. In this case, the file downloaded correctly after that. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7Hbf5RERuq0eDJWaGtZYXphOTg/e dit?usp=sharing Using rekonq, site kicks about that but works. Follow clicks to download
