When you're over the canvas, you can hold down the middle mouse button and reposition the canvas. When you're over brushes, you can use the scroll wheel on the mouse. But a wacom pen doesn't have a scroll wheel, so you're forced to either use the scrollbar or the keyboard to navigate all the brushes. It would therefore be nice if brushes could also be panned by holding down the middle mouse button. This would speed up the workflow when using non-palette brushes. Reproducible: Always
i like to add in the krita UI when you make a clic with the rigth button apears a like a pie menu like in photoshop i like to add in these pie menu a modifier for the size of the brush or a shot cut like in blender when you make F button or shift+F button for the strange
better would be if the pan action would work with every scrollable view but i assume that wont be easy as they dont seem to inherit from some sort of base class.
a simple workeround is to map the touch wheel(if you have) of the tablet to the mouse wheel up/down
WISHGROUP: Small Usability Fixes
A further improvement would be to also put zoom under the middle mouse button. In Nuke it works so: Middle-mouse + move cursor = pan Middle mouse + left click + move cursor = zoom in and out. This is optimized so you can do navigation with just a pen, of course.
I'm sorry, disregard this. Meant to post in a different bug...
This has been potentially solved in a pending patch, D15755 .
This is resolved with the kinetic scroll option that was added in 4.0
