Small inconsistancy: In new capabilities, the programn announces supporting the new NIKON D800 and D800E (pic I). While declaring this, the camera import tool does NOT contain an according camera type to select (pic II) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open digiKAM 3.3 2. watch greeting screen announcing support 3. when selecting the import tool, you'll see missing D800 / D800E Actual Results: compare steps to reproduce- "3" Expected Results: what is announced, shozuld be contained in the programs capabilities- camera import tools, respective This issue is -not- new, as I spelled this out already before. I read, this issue was resolved- where, when, how?

Camera support listed in from digiKam page is about RAW demosaicing (see http://www.libraw.org/), not import which is delegate to Gphoto (http://www.gphoto.org/) So, try to update libgphoto2 on your computer. If it doesn't work report this problem to Gphoto project. Gilles Caulier
Gilles: You are certainly right- opensource components used in digiKam provide many interesting features & capabilities. I guess, my report bases more or less on a formal thing based on non seamless integration. If digiKam declares a certain ability to be available, this should be the case! ("maybe an issue related to quality control"?) What I'm missing, is seamless integration without edges and knodes- as a user, I do _not_ ask for where certain capabilities came from. I just read and find differences. And, I guess there some of these weak points more. Still, digiKam is a strong piece of software without many competitors. My intention is to continue smoothening workflows, if possible!
