Description Elder S. Trevisan 2013-08-20 13:10:42 UTC
After making any changes in the effects of the desktop, when attempting to restore defaults by clicking the Defaults button and applying the changes are not restored.

Reproducible: Always

Which default button in particular?
In the effects subconfig or in the kcm dialog.
In latter case, on what page?

Hello Thomas, how are you?
Sorry there have been clear, but I do not speak English and use the Google
translator.
I am sending a picture attached that portrays what happened. I selected the
option Explosion example, pressed the apply button, then an error message
appeared at the top of the tab stating that I needed OpenGL to make
changes, and that's when I pressed the Defaults button to return to the
default state of settings, but it returns automatically to the General tab,
I press the Apply button, a message appears asking if I want countdown even
make the change, then the error message appears at the top of the tab
again, and changes will not return to the default state .

Fine, I hope so are you ;-)

OpenGL compositing does not work on your setup, please provide the output of "glxinfo" and "lspci"

Please notice that you're mailing to a bugtracker and html mails as well as attachments cause several updates to the bug.

Thanks, but that already worked before ;-)

What is now really necessary is the output of:
- glxinfo
- lspci

Just run "konsole" and type:

glxinfo > glx.info
lspci > pci.info

You'll get two files "glx.info" and "pci.info" which you need to attach here.

The configuration module got rewritten for KWin 5 and is also split into one for effects and one for the general compositor settings.
