If you activate the Full Screen Mode of digiKam, open the Image Editor and maximize it, its window only covers the area of the screen where there are no (desktop) panels. The panels, however, are covered by the main window of digikam since it is in full screen mode. I think the image editor should cover the entire screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open any image in digiKam 3. Activate Full Screen Mode. 2. Click "Image Editor" button. 3. Maximize Image Editor window Actual Results: The Image Editor window does not cover parts of the screen that display panels. One can see the underlying main window of digiKam. Expected Results: The Image Editor window should cover the entire screen.
Problem still valid using last digiKam 4.2.0 ? Gilles Caulier
I confirm this behavior with 4.2.0. But FullScreen mode is applied to all digiKam windows individually. So image editor will not inherit full screen mode from AlbumGUI. Implementing this kind of inheritance between main window will certain hurt end users. Note : If i switch AlbumGUI in full screen, and start editor, if i switch too Editor in full screen mode, both window will cohabit perfectly. Here i use double screen and i can play with AlbumGUI and Editor in full screen at the same time. https://www.flickr.com/photos/digikam/15154535165/ Gilles Caulier
