Description m.janssens 2013-08-13 10:21:38 UTC
I have a standard Konsole profile with only difference being scrollback=10000.

Anytime I want to save the scrollback I get a crash of all Konsoles. A separate xterm with 'sudo tail -f /var/log/messages' does not show anything.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. File->Save output as

Actual Results:
all konsole windows disappear

Expected Results:
File chooser to come up

Hi, we're going to need more info - can you install the debug version of konsole/kde so that the crash gives more info?

I'll try through Yast. I pressed the button on the bug reporter to
install those but it didn't do anything.

I'll also start a konsole 'by hand' to see whether it dumps anything to
stdout.

If from a konsole I open another konsole with

konsole --nofork

I don't see the problem on that new konsole (a file chooser comes up) but do on the original (it does not bring up a file chooser but crashes immediately, taking all konsoles down with it). There is no message in /var/log/messages.

2) I've just done an online update (OpenSUSE12.3) and logged out and in and cannot repeat the problem.

Ok thanks for checking... reopen if it happens again.
