Description Ezio Vergine 2013-08-12 12:08:36 UTC
After a bit of time that i'm online, some facebook contacts switch from image+name to number@chat.facebook.com (http://wstaw.org/m/2013/08/12/snapshot07.png). If I start a conversation with one of this contact, in chat plasmoid I see the correct name. If I restart telepathy, all contacts are ok but after a little bit of time the issue returns. I've tried to delete an recreate the facebook account but the result is the same

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open contacts list
2.
3.
Actual Results:
After a bit of time, i've same facebook contacts with number@chat.facebook.com instead image+name

Expected Results:
a list of contacts with correct image and name

Bug in Facebook XMPP :(

They send out broken updates with names missing. Other clients are affected too like PSI.
Some happen to hide it better if they have some sort of offline cache that they don't update - but still not a lot we can really do.

Facebook sends broken updates. There is nothing we can do.
