Description Rohan Garg 2013-08-12 06:04:35 UTC
I recently started using kmail and when I get a notification on the desktop about new email I open kmail to check my mail, except it still shows the old emails and does not refresh the email list to show the latest emails.

Even refreshing the folder doesn't give me the latest emails in the UI.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get notifications about new email
2. Open KMail
3. UI still lists emails from yesterday
Actual Results:
UI is not updated to show latest emails

Expected Results:
UI should show latest emails when the user is notified of new emails

Workaround :
I can workaround the bug by clicking on the name I have given to the IMAP connection in the ui and then clicking on Inbox

same here, version 4.11

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
