I am using KDE in a corporate environment where we have a firewall that lets through only http traffic. Kscd supports cddb requests via http proxy but as far as I know in kio-audiocd I can not change the cddb server access method and it does not work for me across the firewall.
I'd like to see either a config option for cddb access via http proxy or an automatic fallback to cddb access via http if the normal method does not work.

I am in the same situation. If http support is already provided, it is not 
clear how to configure this within the audiocd control panel. Once it is 
added, please make it obvious how this feature is to be configured. Thanks!
