Description Till Schäfer 2013-07-29 15:24:34 UTC
When switching to offline mode (IMAP account) it might occur, that some mails are not cached locally. In this case a similar message to the following is shown: "Offline - Kmail is in offline mode. Click here to go online" (i have a German lang setting thats why i don't know the exact text here). The message is shown in the area, where the emails content is displayed.

The Problem: when displaying a cached email and than clicking on a non-chached email in the same folder, the offline message is not shown. Instead the previously shown and cached email stays visible while the email list indicated that the non-cached email is selected. when changing the folder to another one and than changing the folder back to the first one and than clicking on the non-chached mail, the offline message is shown again.

Reproducible: Always

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
