There appears to be some kind of a race condition on opening the wallet that mimics (or perhaps the result of? ) a bad password. Once kwallet is in this state I am unable to open it, and so are any applications. The only solution is to logout and try again.

since I'm hitting this condition more often than not it basically makes my system unusable because I will not be able to access it for  wireless networking, askpass, telepathy.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. login
2. mad dash to enter password
3. cross fingers and pray
