Description Florian E.J. Fruth 2013-07-25 19:03:33 UTC
After upgrading to kmail2 and the following kmail account migration my imaps account didn't work any more. It just showed blank folders. I deleted the account and tried to re-add it - but now it doesn't work at all. In the configuration dialog kmail2 detects that my server only supports SSL/TLS over port 993. But after the configuration it still says "no server configured yet" in the "incoming accounts" section. I even tried to enable imap with the same results.

So imap doesn't work at all for me since upgrading to kmail2...

Reproducible: Always

- just installed kubuntu 12.04 lts with kmail 4.8.5 => works
- upgrade to kubuntu 13.04 with kmail 4.10.5 => works
- delete imaps account and readd it => doesn't work (same problem as with my Debian installation)

So it seams that it's impossible to add any imaps account in kmail 4.10.5 and that the debian migration also corrupts the imaps accounts.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.

Just FYI: I retested this with Kubuntu 16.04 and Kmail 5.1.3. by removing my imaps account and readding it. It worked. I can't check if this bug still exists in Debian.
