Description Arthur Bogard 2013-07-18 20:19:47 UTC
When I attempt to monitor a remote machine, the first window opens "Connect Host - System Monitor" with the ability to enter the host and connection type.

When I enter a host's information, I see the host name at the bottom of the sensor browser with a caution sign. No further information is provided.

I opened ksysguard from the command line to monitor the output. From there, I can see a prompt to enter my ssh passwords. If I enter the passwords on the command line, I can properly monitor my remote machines.

Output from the prompt is:

arthur@work:~$ ksysguard
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf", line 9: reading configurations from ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated.
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty)
  Resource id: 0x420006f

I can confirm this behavior with Ksysguard 4.11.12 on Kubuntu 14.10 with KDE 4.14.1. Only one difference: The remote does not stay in the sensor browser but disappears after ~1s.

Can you reproduce this issue with current version of ksysguard?
