The authentication dialog shown in the linked screenshot has a field "Remember Authorization". It does not seem to remember authorization though. It always requests you re-authorize. Based on the wording, and the adjacent "For this session only" checkbox, that selecting this box means I would never have to authenticate for this action ever again (tbh, that seems like a bad idea from a security standpoint). To me, the "For this session only" checkbox would limit this until I logout or lock the screen. Instead it seems to do nothing. I haven't been able to find a case where selecting the Remember Authentication checkbox actually saved me from having to re-authenticate. It would also be nice if "For this session only" was reworded so it clearer about what a session actually is. I can see this as meaning both "A user session" (eg logging out/locking the screen) or "An application session" (eg until the application is closed). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a kcm that requires authentication to save (eg kdm) 2. Make a change. 3. Save. 4. Notice you have to authenticate. 5. Enter credentials and ensure "Remember Authentication" is enabled. 6. Revert the change. 7. Save. 8. Notice you are again prompted for credentials, even though you told it to remember authentication. Actual Results: Step 8 occurs. Expected Results: Step 8 should not occur. This should persist across closing the app, logging out, rebooting, etc. If the "For this session only" checkbox is selected, then it should only persist until logging out or locking the screen (if possible for the locking case).
Same here, kde-frameworks-4.14.2
