Some rss-feeds can't be loaded with akregator even though the looks work perfectly fine with e.g. firefox / lynx. I tried different ones and it seems as it is mostly related to tumblr and twitter, but some "regular" ones don't work either Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open akregator 2. Add feed 3. Get message that feed can't be loaded 3.1 "older" feed urls that have been already added show a little "x"- symbol and don't get fetched Expected Results: Fetch the feed.
no issue when adding http://vehementmma.tumblr.com/rss. I see the 20 last articles after adding it. Do you have another example ?
note: some improvement to the syndication library were pushed recently. Can you try with KDE 4.11RC1 maybe ?
Christophe, thanks for your reply - I have the same problem for example with http://bradpilon.com/feed/ (even though it now shows the last entries, but still says it can't find the feed). There have been a few more (https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.rss?screen_name=VehementMMA) as well. I'm waiting for the new packages for KDE to be pushed to backports for an update to 4.11, I wouldn't like to use an rc…
Sorry fr the double post, apparently there's a general problem with twitter as rss - but the bradpilon feed still doesn't work as of now…
no issue with http://bradpilon.com/feed/ it's imported and 10 articles are listed. I'll change status. Please retry with Akregator from KDE 4.11 (will be out in a couple weeks)
