System is opensuse 13.1 Milestone 3. KDE-4.10.90. Graphics card is nvidia geforce 6150 LE. Driver is nouveau, kernel is "3.10.0-2.gc5ad3f9-desktop". The appearance of the screen is an unreadable mess. I can't do a print-screen, because the screen is too much of a mess to be able to save the printscreen. If I disable desktop effects by manually editing kwinrc before login, then all is fine. Strangely, graphics work fine for Gnome 3.9.1 Reproducible: Always
Please post the output of "qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin supportInformation" (while compositing is active) You can use ksnapshot to create a timered screenshot (and Shift+Alt+F12 to toggle compositing anytime) Without more information than "screen is an unreadable mess", there's absolutely nothing we could do. > Driver is nouveau, kernel is "3.10.0-2.gc5ad3f9-desktop" Have you cross-checked the nvidia blob?
Without any information about the system setup nor even an illustrating screeshot (which could be taken via xwd from VT1 in doubt) there's really nothing we could do here. -> Please provide the requested information if this is still an issue (bug reported against early beta)
