Description ischuanwong 2013-07-10 09:43:10 UTC
There is no ''Configure Kile'' in the setting dropdown menu. Therefore, I don't know where I can configure my kile.
My operating system is windows 7, and I used kdewin-installer-gui-1.0.0 to install the KDE. In the applications tab, I installed ''Kile'', "kdebase-workspace", "kdebase-apps" and ''Kate''.
About the editor component:
Kate Part
Version 3.7
Using KDE Development Platform 4.10.2

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use kdewin-installer-gui-1.0.0 to install the KDE on windows 7.
2. In the applications tab, install ''Kile'', "kdebase-workspace", "kdebase-apps" and ''Kate''.
3. Then, you find no 'Configure Kile' option in the 'Settings'
Actual Results:
I find no 'Configure Kile' option in the 'Settings'

Expected Results:
I will find 'Configure Kile' option in the 'Settings'

Can't reproduce. Did you install some old version of kile before ?

Hi Jekyll, thanks for your reply.
No I didn't install anyold version of kile before.
I just downloaded the KDE from here (the lastest 1.0.0): http://download.kde.org/stable/kdewin/installer/kdewin-installer-gui-latest.exe.mirrorlist.
I then installed the kile from the KDE. I already tried unstall the KDE and reinstall it. But I got the same result.

Hm, this looks as if the kbuildsycoca4 didn't run properly.
Can you please open a cmd window, go to your KDE installation directory and then simply run:
bin\kbuildsycoca4.exe from there?

OK, I did it. In the cmd window it showed shortly 'kbuildsycoca4 runing', then the cmd window was automatically closed. I checked then the Kile, but anything has been changed....
