Description Juan Cano 2013-07-09 19:15:24 UTC
I am using Davmail to connect to my office's Exchange 2003 server, and Kontact to fetch Mails, Calendar and Contacts via IMAP, CalDav and CardDav. Everything works perfectly, but one thing: Tasks don't show in To-Do list. Nevertheless, I can add new tasks and they are actually created in the Exchange server, and they show in Kontact's To-Do list for some time, until the calendar is synced again and they disappear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an Acconadi CalDav resource connecting to a DavMail Exchange Proxy (I don't know if the same bug will happen with other CalDav servers)
2. Make sure you have tasks on your server
Actual Results:
Tasks don't show in the To-Do view, although you can add new tasks and they are actually created in the server. Tasks that you add show in the To-Do view until the calendar is refreshed, and then disappear.

Expected Results:
Tasks should appear in the T-Do view.

Other CalDav clients, such as Thunderbird, are able to show tasks on the same machine with no problems, so I think it is a problem with Korganizer or Akonadi.

adding Grégory to the CC. maybe he has some thoughts about this one.

The same thing happends to me too. Tasks can be created and are saved to the server, but on a calendar refresh they disappear.

I should add that I'm using KOrganizer 4.11.

If you open akonadiconsole, second tab, click on the collection, does it list any to-dos ?
Comment 5 Juan Cano 2013-08-23 20:03:01 UTC
Hello. Exactly the same behavior: when I create the to-do, it appears both in KOrganizer and Akonadi Console. When I refresh the calendar, it disappears from both.
Comment 6 Juan Cano 2013-08-23 20:05:37 UTC
BTW, I am also using KDE 4.11.0 from Kubuntu Artwork
Comment 7 Juan Cano 2013-08-23 20:07:35 UTC
(Sorry, from Kubuntu Backports)
Comment 8 Sergio Martins 2013-08-24 17:33:03 UTC
ok, if it also happens in akonadiconsole it's a DAV resource bug, not korganizer.
Comment 9 Grégory Oestreicher 2013-09-03 20:09:19 UTC
Looks like the todo entry creation failed on the server but the resource didn't caught it. Can you look in the DavMail logs for any errors when creating the todo?
Comment 10 Unknown 2013-10-03 15:58:17 UTC
There are no todo items in akonadiconsole for this collection/resource.

I don't see anything indicating any failures in the davmail logs. The tasks I make are saved correctly on the server side, but they never show up in akonadiconsole or Kontact. Even if I make a task server side, they don't ever come through to Kontact/akonadiconsole

same behavior with davmail, todo gets created on both sides then when I refresh kcalendar it disappears.

Hi,

Version 4.13.1 has the same problem. I cannot see any task on summary page. Event my events from calendar is showing randomly - some events are some not. ;(

Regards,
Simon

Could you test once 4.14.1 is available to you?
Comment 14 Grégory Oestreicher 2014-10-05 09:27:21 UTC
No news, so assuming it's fixed in 4.14.1. Feel free to reopen if that's not the case.

Cheers,
Grégory

I see the same problem with version 4.14.1. How can I be of assistance in fixing this behaviour?
