Today I was bored and started playing with Konsole window size, and it so happened that I ended up with a window that had no menus, no terminal, literally nothing in it except that borders. And once I attempted to resize it back to the normal moving that arrow thing with my mouse, KDE suddenly restarted and I got the usual KDM login form. After logging in I started Konsole again and tried to resize it again - same happened. So basically EVERY time I start resizing this evil window KDE just quits. However, maximizing it with a double-click or via context menu works just fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Resize Konsole window so that it's as minimal as possible 2. Close it (perhaps this step can be skipped - I didn't try) 3. Run Konsole again and try to resize its window back Qt: 4.8.4 KDE Development Platform: 4.10.4 KWin: 4.10.4 Konsole: 2.10.4

your description of the problem indicates that X crashed. You should be able to find the crash trace in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old - here there is nothing we can do about it. Crashing X server needs to be reported in the X bugtracker.
OK, thanks. I filed a bug to the X bugzilla in case anyone is interested: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65861
