See steps Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open systemsettings 2. go to workspace appereance -- window decorations 3. click customize window decorations 4. Go to tab "window-specific options" 5. click "add" 6a : click ok or 6 b enter "*" or ")" into the regex-field and click "ok" Actual Results: it rejects them. The error message reads: Die Syntax des regulären Ausdrucks ist korrekt. the syntax of the regular expression is correct. (Probably there is an additional bug in the german translation?) Expected Results: it should accept them and use them
You are using the Oxygen window decoration, right?
Hi, I'm using the Air-Theme
* is not a valid regular expression, I think (should be .*) Neither is empty string, I think (though not entirely sure). Correct ? do I miss something ? The only check that is actually QRegExp::isValid() So whatever is accepted/rejected is what Qt decides to accept or reject. see: kwin/clients/oxygen/config/oxygenexceptionlistwidget.cpp, line 337 or so, for KDE-4.10 or line 339 for master branch. in "master" I also check for non empty string. but then, anyway, what seriously is the point of adding an _exception_ that applies to everything ?
So that unless I mistaken, I'd close this bug as invalid ...
Hi, i can't find the option to hide the title in the parent dialog, that's the point of adding an _exception_ that applies to everything ? And what about the senseless error message? Is it a translation error or does it appear in english, too?
