Description reg 2013-06-15 19:13:53 UTC
Application: digikam (3.2.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.10.4
Qt Version: 4.8.4
Operating System: Linux 3.10.0-rc4-1-desktop x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE 13.1 Milestone 2 (x86_64)"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Using milestone 13.1 openSUSE (but I saw similar behavior in 12.3). Laptop with x64. Digikam immediately crashes on startup, after briefly showing its splash screen. First run did successfully run through the initial questions, then crashed. After that, all crashes. No other applications running. Using KolorManager. Installed KDE-openSUSE came with some nvidiasoftware, but my graphics is not nvidia, so I tried again with other drivers. Same crashes. Note that digikam 2.9 and 3.1 work well on Windows 7, same computer.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Application: digikam-3.1.0-1.2.x86_64 and
Application: digikam-3.2.0-3.3.x86_64

running within
Operating System: Linux 3.10.5-1.g4e0ffc2-desktop x86_64
Distribution: openSUSE 13.1 Milestone 3
KDE Platform Version: 4.10.97

database appears to build ok then start aborts

in each case showFoto works ok
Comment 3 Michael Lambert 2013-08-21 06:17:18 UTC
