Description Ron 2013-06-05 19:46:42 UTC
Using the "Back"/"Forward" actions from okular's toolbar ("Main Toolbar <okular_part>") changes the displayed page correctly and the grey-field in the thumbnails-panel that marks the displayed area gets changed as well, but the blue border that marks the current page in the thumbnails panel does not get changed anymore. The thumbnails panel overview doesn't jump at all, so it still shows the neighbouring pages before clicking on "Back" or "Forward". Clicking on the right page in the thumbnails-panel also doesn't change the blue marking. I first have to click on a different page and then back. This used to work in older okulars. Please fix!

Reproducible: Always

Which okular verion is that? Did you by any chance untick the "Link the thumbnails with the Page" setting?

setting status
Comment 3 Ron 2013-06-06 00:53:52 UTC
It is version 0.16.4 from KDE 4.10.4, but it happened with the version from KDE 4.10.3, too. Perhaps even with older versions.
The checkmark "Link the thumbnails with the page" from the General Apperarance options is checked.
Going to the next/previous page with the arrow button on the bottom still works correctly, as does the search. Only the "Back" /"Forward" in document actions fail.
Comment 4 Albert Astals Cid 2013-06-08 21:14:58 UTC
Hmmm, which view options do you have? multicolumn/singlecolumn? continuous view or single page? etc?
Comment 5 Ron 2013-06-09 17:15:10 UTC
Usually "Single Page" and non-continuous, but I can reproduce this with continuous and "Facing Pages" as well, for example.
Comment 6 Albert Astals Cid 2013-06-09 22:35:13 UTC
That is really weird, are you using any of the "crazy" optimization flags gentoo old-timers used to use?

Also is this with all the files or just with some?
Comment 7 Ron 2013-06-10 10:16:12 UTC
Yeah, the "crazy" -O2, -pipe and -march flags. :) I really doubt that this is the cause.
It happened with all files I tested (pdfs and djvus, so not fileformat specific).
Comment 8 Ron 2013-06-10 13:39:36 UTC
Now just for you, I installed opensuse in a vm (KDE 4.10.3, Okular 0.16.3), lo and behold, same bug. So, it is really not that hard to reproduce.
Comment 9 Albert Astals Cid 2013-06-10 18:04:09 UTC
Well, it works for me here, so it's not that easy to reproduce. That or I can't understand what you mean, could you record a video of the issue or take a screenshot to make it easier to understand?

Comment 12 Ron 2013-06-11 11:39:48 UTC
Did you try with opensuse 12.3 with kde updated to 4.10.3?
I attached two pictures to show the problem. I hope that helps.
Comment 13 Albert Astals Cid 2013-06-23 16:23:56 UTC
Ah, so you're using the back in history actions, not the previous page ones, ok, yes, i can reproduce that now
Comment 14 Albert Astals Cid 2014-05-11 13:23:14 UTC
Hmmmm, i can't reproduce it anymore in Okular 0.19 (KDE Applications 4.13), can you try in that version or a newer one?
