Description Don Rhummy 2013-06-03 14:13:20 UTC
Applications listed in the start menu (aka "Kickoff menu" aka "Start Launcher") can be located deep under submenus and very hard to find. Usability would be greatly enhanced if the ability to search for an application in the different menus/submenus was added.

For example, if I wanted to edit the launch command for "HP Device Manager", you might think it was located under "Utilities->Printing" and be confused when you didn't find it there. It took some hunting to find it under "Utilities->More Programs". If I could have searched the list instead, I'd have found it quickly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click the Launcher Icon (usually located in lower left corner of task bar)
2. Choose "Edit Applications..."
3. Try to find where a program is located in the hierarchical list
Actual Results:
It is very hard to find programs.

Expected Results:
A search option should have been provided.
