Hi Krita default themes work great but some highlights and widgets are hard to see/read. That makes them a bit useless from the usability point of view. I suggest to tweak them adding a bit of color highlights and contrast in brighter themes, and lessen the contrast on the darker themes. I've modified the default themes I use the most. I can tweak the ones missing if needed and change the colors of the ones with color to fit the KDE color palette also. ( I tweak them by hand in XFCE, so I am not entirely certain they will work.) KritaBlender.colors KritaBright.colors KritaDark.colors KritaDarker.colors Thanks Reproducible: Always

Hey, I tested them. The 4 themes you updated are better than the set I made for sure. Here are a more detailed review, than the one I sent to you by email : - Krita-darker is easier to the eyes , and the pale dark blue as a selection color help for preset selection , and active layer. Really superior to the old one. - Krita-Bright : good choice for going to a dark blue on the selection color. Its make all the selections easier to read here again. - Krita-dark ( default ) : Easier on the eyes ; I like the dim grey for the font, and the color selection again. - Krita-Blender is more accurate with the official Blender theme. The dark button make it looks good. It's in good way , but I have difficulties to see the active selected preset with it , and i'm tempted to tweak it a bit ( I miss the Blender blue selection color ) . Can I ? This is the theme I use the most. - Krita-50% is missing, I think a bit of tweak of color selection might be needed too. Good work !

Created attachment 80199 [details] Krita schemes color mod v2 Thanks David, I think your modification adds a nice touch of color to the theme. (I personally prefer the sliders in dark gray, but I opted for your version because it is better for usability) I made the blender50% and Brighter versions. Also I made little modifications to the other schemes. Blender50%, zero contrast theme aiming for zero distraction canvas work. I has a little color tint to aid in usability but saturation is low Brighter. Light and clean scheme for a cheerful experience. I removed all pure whites in favor of 240 as max bright value. this in my experience is softer to the eye allowing for longer periods of work. Try them out and tell me if there is something to improve.
Created attachment 80202 [details] Krita schemes color mod v2.5 Made some little adjustments on how inactive elements looks. Updated v2 attachment.
Well done ! I tested the v2 pack a minute ago ( not 2.5 yet ) and it's really good as it is for Krita now. So I guess 2.5 is even better. I just saw a pink color or other using them on Kdenlive or other complex apps requiring multiple active colors, or selection colors. I'll probably polish them a bit the next day for this apps too. Yes , it's a shame the combobox button use the 'selection color' to fill the active part. Maybe this is a separate bug report who should be filled.
Ok :-). When all polishing is done, I'll push them to git.
Created attachment 80238 [details] Krita schemes color mod v2.6 Thanks. So, I reviewed them for looking great on Krita but also other KDE apps : Dolphin / Konversation / Kate / Krita / Kdenlive . I also worked them on Oxygen style, and Plastique style widget ( Plastique is adopted for Windows version ) Here are the change done : - I found and replaced the pink/crimson color ( ColorView ; ForegroundActive ) in the themes by a bright blue. Btw, only Kdenlive use it to show the selected timeline. But it worth it. - I made the button of Krita-blender less dark because on KDE the button color affect the inactive tab ( logic? ) and it was making the theme not really looking good on plastique and other apps. I keep dark button as on Blender, but now it's looking better imo on KDE apps. - Same for Krita-darker : I just reduced the crease of contrast between button and background. It wasn't a lot ( barely not visible on my Samsung 2nd screen , but on the Asus wide gamut, the step was looking bigger ).
Additional note : While using/switching them I see other minor thing bothering my eyes. So, I'm soon back with a 2.7 , feel free to comment and test them.
Created attachment 80242 [details] Krita schemes color mod v2.7 And here are tiny contrast tweak 2.7 ; Mainly little compromises to make it look good between Plastique/Oxygen.
Thanks. Good improvements. I think version 2.7 is ready for krita 2.7 :p BTW: the darker theme button contrast was intended, but as I have a limited test environment I had no idea exactly how it looked on more advance KDE theme engines. I'm glad you enhance it.
