Description ray-ven 2013-05-25 12:36:30 UTC
My amarok-nepomuk collection get's lost every time I exit amarok and start it again. It remembers a few songs, but the rest of the collection is being reimported every time. Not a big thing, because it just needs about 1 or 2 Minutes, but still it would be nice to be able to access the collection right after starting amarok.
Was the same with 2.7.0, deleting .amarok didn't help

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Nepomuk-Collection is there on start

This is a known limitation in the actual implementation, confirmed in current git.
Changing severity to normal, this is not minor as the complete Nepomuk collection needs to be recreated on every startup. Very annoying as it takes ages to rebuild it when one has a reasonable large collection (several thousand tracks is not uncommon).

thanks for your fast reply Myriam. Is it resolved in actual development builds (2.8)?
got 16k files though, still very fast! This collection engine is great!

If it were resolved this bug would have been closed, so no, still not solved.

We need to port our Nepomuk collection to Baloo before solving this, updated version...
Comment 5 Myriam Schweingruber 2015-01-22 14:53:19 UTC
Since Nepomuk has been discontinued and KDE is now using a different technology, I close this as unmaintained. The Nepomuk Collection element will be removed.
