Vlc installed in system, but is not present in menu and list of known programs.

Do you mean you want to open video in Dolphin in VLC?

Is VLC shown in the Windows Explorer Open With menu?

Yes, I like this player and I want to open video with it in Dolphin.

Windows Explorer was showing VLC after I pointed path to it manually.

In dolphin, right click on the icon, select Open with, could you select VLC from where you install it?

Can you please check if this bug is still present with the vlc version 2.0.5-1 (update available through kdewin-installer)?
