Description kranthi 2013-05-15 03:16:22 UTC
Menubar hides after closing a file directly from full screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open any pdf file
2.use f11 to go to full screen (in case of openbox)
3.close the file using alt+f4
4.reopen any file
Actual Results:
menu bar is hidden

Expected Results:
menu bar should not be hidden

using fedora 17. installed using fedora updates repo
I just have to unhide the menubar by going to /home/u-name/.kde/share/config/okularrc and fix the problem.

No clue what openbox does, but this works fine with Ctrl+Shift+F that is our fullscreen. Not sure we can do much here to be honest.

Of course you can always show the menu right-clicking on the view.

The same situation is with toolbar. When Okular is in fullscreen, it changes its configuration and stores it. When second window is opened, it opens without menubar and toolbar (does not matter if previous window is still opened or not).

It is not Openbox-specific. The same behaviour occurs when using both window manager and okular to enter fullscreen mode.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any document
2. Enter fullscreeen mode
3. Switch to another desktop (using keyboard shortcut)
4. Open another document in a new window
5. New window is opened in fullscreen mode, but window state is not fullscreen (it has decorations, but toolbar and menu is hidden).

Alternative way to reproduce:
1. Open any document
2. Enter fullscreeen mode
3. Close this window without leaving fullscreen (Alt+F4 or kill from console)
4. Open any document
5. New window is opened in fullscreen mode, but window state is not fullscreen (it has decorations, but toolbar and menu is hidden).

Solution: Do not sotre window state (toolbars, menu) in fullscreen.

Okular 20.12.2: It remembers fullscreen state and can be switched back from it correctly. So, the bug seems to be resolved.

However, I think that Okular should not start in fullscreen mode when it was closed in it previously. It should start always as a normal window.

Please file this as a different issue.
