The icon-only task manager's tooltips are great as it gives me a good preview of the windows available and i do not have to move my mouse far to select one. BUT I dislike things popping up when moving my mouse around, and would prefer to click to show the tooltips menu and click away to not show them. This should not be a hard addition as there is already the ability to select what the action for clicking on an icon is... Reproducible: Always
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.
