Description Kai Koehne 2013-05-07 10:22:58 UTC
Moving the cursor around in long lines that are automatically split does not work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open konsole, paste a long line (without newlines) that will spawn more than one line in konsole
2. Try to move the cursor by e.g. Left key
3. Paste again, press Up key

Actual Results:
For 2., cursor cannot move beyond the first character of the last line. It just stays there
For 3., The cursor will still stay in the last line. Fragments of the right text is shown in the column where the prompt ends

Expected Results:
One should be free to navigate in longer commands spawning multiple lines.

Prompt is "\[$(ppwd)\]\u@\h:\w>" (system default)

I seem to remember having this issue, but I can't reproduce it now - can you?
Comment 2 Philippe Cloutier 2014-09-25 02:38:06 UTC
I cannot reproduce this with 2.14.1. This might be related to window size.
Comment 3 Kai Koehne 2014-09-25 06:58:56 UTC
I can't reproduce this anymore with kde5 preliminary RPM's. So I guess it can be closed ...
