Description Jamie Smith 2013-05-07 04:13:22 UTC
Suspend inhibition events aren't showing up in task tray notify area like other configured event sources in Application and System Notifications. Other sources work fine.
Comment 1 Alex Fiestas 2013-08-01 20:29:55 UTC
What kind of events are you missing?

Are you complaining that they don't appear as notifications, or that you can't edit/disable them in systemsettings?
Comment 2 Jamie Smith 2013-08-02 21:01:40 UTC
Notifications are enabled in system settings for power events, but suspend
events don't reach the system notifier despite being enabled. The power
notifer (ac adapter) works fine.

What kind of notification are you talking about? Power events? Suspend events? I don't get it.

In the Power Management System notification events, Suspension Inhibited is checked but there are no notifications when for example Playing / Pausing in Amarok, which supends and resumes sleep inhibition depending on playback state.

Remove "Suspend inhibited" notification

It probably never worked, given it was enabled by default but didn't show up.
Also, having a notification appear telling you that your browser is now suppressing
power management everytime you play a video or start a download, isn't particularly
useful, especially since battery monitor nowadays shows when an application does that.
