Under Kubuntu 13.04, packaged with Kexi 2.6.3, if a date is entered via a form, it is not retained subsequent to Kexi being closed and reopened. This bug is specific to date entries. If dates are entered directly into tables, however, they are retained. This bug did not occur in Kubuntu 12.10 or 12.04, so it could be a packaging error. I have not checked to see whether any compiled version will work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter a date via a form. 2. Save entry. 3. Exit Kexi. 4. Reopen Kexi. 5. The date field is now blank. Actual Results: Blank date cell. Expected Results: Date previously entered should appear. This is not critical, as dates may be entered via tables. However, this is extremely inconvenient and wastes a lot of time, defeating the purpose of having forms! The same bug occurs both on a laptop and desktop machine running Kubuntu 13.04.
Thanks for the quality report! Pressing 'Save Record' button saves the data for me in both tabular and form view, so could you please create a small .kexi file with test table and form?

Dear Roderick Drew, could you say what is your date format and maybe your international settings? UK or USA, etc. I am trying to figure out if date format is a factor here. Thanks!
Waiting for more info. Le'ts reopen if this bug is still present in Kexi 2.9.
