Without this it is impossible to have different thumbnails depending on the protocol used. This is especially important when presenting files as the result of nepomuk searches. As an example, take a look at the thumbnailer in kde:scratch/luissilva/nepomuk-kio-slaves/movies. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Thumbnails are constructed only based on mimetype whether or not X-KDE-Protocol is specified. Expected Results: If X-KDE-Protocol is specified in the .desktop file for a thumbnailer, than that thumbnailer should only be executed for the given protocol.
Is this still an issue or even relevant today with KDE Frameworks 5.47?
