When I create a new activity, I like to assign a global keyboard shortcut to it. However, the newly created activity does not appear right away in System Settings → Shortcuts and Gestures → Global Keyboard Shortcuts, making it impossible to do it without restarting kactivitymanagerd (which is inconvenient). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new activity. 2. Go to System Settings → Shortcuts and Gestures → Global Keyboard Shortcuts → activity manager. 3. Try to assign a keyboard shortcut to the newly created activity. Actual Results: “Switch to activity ‘[new activity]’” does not appear as an action to which a shortcut can be assigned. Expected Results: It should be possible to assign a shortcut to that activity without restarting kactivitymanagerd.
The reverse is also true: Deleting an activity does not unregister the shortcuts entry in System Settings.
I can confirm this behavior with KDE 4.10.5.
I see multiple shortcuts for an activity which appear to to confirm C Feck that deleting an activity does not unregister the shortcut in Systen Settings
sorry - running 4.11.12 under openSUSE 12.3 x64
Works in Plasma 5.
