Description Markus Raab 2013-04-17 17:06:08 UTC
There is many additional metadata in the files (or sqlite database) which would lead to a much better selection for a Picture Frame than to take just a random image.
e.g. Rating, Colors

I propose to write a Picture Frame which takes all images into account which are yielded from a digikam image search and then select one image based on rating of the images (higher rated get more often an chance to be selected).

Reproducible: Always

If you propose to write something about this feature, why not...

Unfortunately I am too busy with my own project (http://www.libelektra.org) and can not find time to do it.

I still would love to have the feature, though. Especially interesting would be additional tagging in the plasmoid which would influence the selection in the future.

So you can close the bug if you doubt that someone else will do it.

Moved to Plasmoid area if someone is interrested by this project...

Looks like no. It does sound like an interesting idea for a 3rd-party widget though. However it doesn't really make sense to use the bug reporting system to request 3rd-party widgets. Instead, people should just write them. :)
