Description timmachielbos 2013-04-16 16:26:00 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (0.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.10.2
Qt Version: 4.8.3
Operating System: Linux 3.8.6-030806-generic x86_64
Distribution: Linux Mint 14 Nadia

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was experimenting setting up 4 virtual desktops with all a different activity, appearance, layout and applications/widgets. Since I already experienced the "get new widget click crash" -bug too often, i made sure I didn't do that this time... And it worked. A little bit longer. As I was near completion, I noticed very high RAM usage, especially after adding the globe wallpaper and the homerun file launcher. Then a freeze for a few minutes, followed by 4 black desktops and a bug reporter. Desktops slowly came back to life, but I decided to delete all panels, widgets and desktops. After a restart I noticed one widget still running , but hidden from view. I finally found it outside the borders where a desktop had been before. It was the explore directory widget panel thingy. I deleted it. maybe this helps slightly... hope this gets resolved soon. together with the update time bug... They both annoy me alot... I didn't see a relationship though....

happy hunting!

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.
