Description Stefan Derkits 2013-04-14 21:13:16 UTC
libmygpo-qt 1.0.7 (used for the connection with gpodder.net) supports flattr Episode Actions. This means that if a user has set up a connection to his flattr account on gpodder.net and the client then sends an Episode Action of type Flattr, the Episode gets flattr'd.

The Task of this Junior Job is to implement sending such Flattr Actions to gpodder.net via Amarok (testing this doesn't require a flattr account, you can still check if it worked by checking if you see a flattr icon on the specific entry in https://gpodder.net/history/ )

A small correction: Atm the only thing that sending a flattr action to gpodder.net does is show the flattr icon. The podcast doesn't get flattr'd (even if you have a flattr account). This will be changed soon by the gpodder.net team, so that the podcast really gets flattr'd.

I'd like to see this feature as well.

...I hope to see it also elsewhere e.g. in the Jamendo plugin, but let's start with GPodder, that actually uses it already.

Closing as Flattr was shut down in 2023.
