Description George Sicherman 2013-04-09 15:02:34 UTC
I am using Kmail 4.8.5 on a Fedora 16 x64 system. When I use Tools -> Find Messages to search for a string in the "From" lines in a local folder, it finds no matches. Searches on other parts of the messages succeed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools -> Find Messages
2. From contains Andy
3. Click "Search".
4. Other settings do not matter.
Actual Results:
The results window shows only column headings. No messages appear.

Expected Results:
I expected to find many messages from the specified sender.

The same thing happens if I specify "Anywhere in headers" or "Complete message" instead of the "From" field. Kmail still does not find words or strings in the messages' From lines.

4.8.5 is outdated.
We fixed a lot of bugs in 4.10.
Please try to test with new version and reopen if bugs is still here.
Thanks.
